We are a ministry of Revive Covenant Church, an Evangelical Covenant Church. Our scripture-based curriculum combines developmental and academic philosophies to give the children the opportunity to grow mentally, physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. We provide a Christian environment with loving educators who model God’s love and encourage spiritual growth through daily interactions, Bible lessons, songs, and prayer.
We follow a modified version of the Orange Unified School District schedule, and are closed during their holidays and breaks.
Curriculum: We offer an age-appropriate Christian curriculum that incorporates developmental and academic experiences. Children are encouraged to explore their environment through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities. Materials and equipment are provided to support language development, spiritual growth, physical, social, and intellectual development.
Zoophonics is our fun, active approach to learning our letters and letter sounds! With kinesthetic movements called ‘signals’ and a fun animal alphabet for a concrete tie in to the symbolic letter, the children are receiving age-appropriate academic instruction in a fun and engaging way.
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math)
STEAM experiences provide children the opportunity to explore science, technology, engineering and math concepts through creative, concrete hands-on activities and materials. STEAM in our curriculum is a fun process of learning centers-based opportunities to explore, create, build, experiment, and imagine while learning about important core science and math concepts.
Our field trips are currently paused in order to avoid group gatherings and bringing outside vendors onto campus.
During a normal non-COVID year, adventure comes to the Creek in fun hands-on field trips where we never have to leave campus to learn something new!
Past year favorites include Big John the Talking Fire Truck, The Pumpkin Patch with “Farmer Stefanie”, All God’s Creatures Petting Zoo, and the library!
We are hoping to bring them back for the 2021-2022 school year.
We are currently not holding our chapel program during this school year in order to prevent whole-school gatherings. Our normal chapel program is a time of all-school Bible learning with fun, energetic worship, and the classes take turns leading with parents invited to attend. We are hoping to be able to bring this program back in the 2021-2022 school year.
We typically have several class holiday celebration parties as well as special events that take place during the year.
Our family gathering events that bring parents onto campus or mix classroom groups have been canceled for this school year. As soon as we’re able, favorites like Grandparent’s Day, Daddy N Me Night, & the Mommy & Me Tea will be back!
We are still celebrating holidays and special occasions in the classroom.
We also have a Christmas Program where all the children perform and we sing holiday carols – while we didn’t have it in person this past year, we made a special video program to celebrate Jesus’ birthday!
We believe that play is an essential component of a preschooler’s day – and while we have structured time, there are also opportunities to just play! In our classrooms we have dramatic play centers, block centers, vehicles and characters, doll houses and more in every room.
Our playground is full of space to run around, climb, swing, dig and experience the outdoors.
